Electrical Project Technician – PLC Programming Maintenance Testing

This employer is an engineering service provider of process control, automation and information systems. It provides specialized engineering services and products for larger clients such as infrastructure, heavy manufacturing and logistics. Due to planned strategic growth they are looking for a well qualified technician/engineer to fulfill this on-site role.

Your role involves:

• Testing & Fault finding
• Maintenance & Preventative Maintenance
• PLC Programming & verifying PLC points
• Testing Electrical panels
• SCADA testing
• Commissioning new technology and equipment
• Upgrading existing installations
• Upgrading PLC equipment and programs

Your Qualifications, experience and attributes include:

• Electrical Engineering tertiary qualifications Diploma or similar
• Electrician Licence would be an advantage
• Electrical panels and Circuit Breaker knowledge
• PLC programming and modification skills for GE FANUC, SIEMENS & ALLEN BRADLEY
• SCADA knowledge
• Testing experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible regarding site-work and travel
• Can work autonomously and independently
• Proven experience in a similar role
• SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

The successful applicant will be offered a salary or contract package of around $75k-$85k+ super. You will be working with a small highly skilled team where the environment requires flexibility and adaptability.
