Senior Planner – External Supply – FMCG

Based in the inner western suburbs of Sydney, our client manufactures some of Australia’s leading household consumables available on supermarket shelves. With a culture striving for continuous improvement and development of leading production methodologies and practices the business is experiencing ever increasing demand for their products. 

As the Senior Planner – External Supply, you will be responsible for the management of ensuring the continuity of 3rd party supplies and the inventory control of raw materials, packaging and embellished finished goods. You will be reporting to the Planning Manager and  be a senior member of the planning team, with great exposure in the business, this role will be a stepping stone for the successful candidate into management. Being a strong communicator is paramount to your success, as well as being target driven and commercially aware, building commercial relationships with suppliers and internal departments as required.

You will have a minimum of five years experience within relevant areas such as Supply Chain/procurement, logistics or manufacturing operations in an FMCG, food/beverage or pharmaceutical industry. You must be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and have strong analytical and negotiating skills and be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving capabilities. A working knowledge of MRP systems such as JDE will be highly regarded.
