Based in the inner western suburbs of Sydney, our client manufactures some of Australia’s leading household consumables available on supermarket shelves. With a culture striving for continuous improvement and development of procurement and purchasing practices the business is experiencing ever increasing demand for their products.
As a Buyer in the business, you will become a part of an existing team of four, reporting into the Purchasing & Procurement Manager and be responsible for developing and embedding the non production spends (NPS) purchasing position in the ANZ region. Locally, you will analyse the portfolio of expenditures, identify and prioritise areas of improvement, while also keeping abreast of new opportunities in the marketplace. You will be responsible for the management of contract formation to ensure best practice and monitor contracts against agreed parameters.
Regionally, you will liaise with colleagues and be involved in the roll out of initiatives for cross-country supplier selection processes for selected projects or categories of expenditures with potential for regional consolidation.
You will be able to display strong analytical skills, commitment and your entrepreneurial flair through being able to deliver results. You will have a minimum of four years experience working in an FMCG environment and be able to adapt to an ever changing environment. A degree in accounting, engineering or an MBA is required as a minimal education to be considered for this role.
