Currently their Asia Pacific Sales team is experiencing significant activity and pipeline for business within the Energy Utilities space. As a key player in the Electrical Utility market they are now looking to add to their team a Technical Consultant with expertise in the area of Distribution Management Systems ( DMS ) or SCADA or Outage Management Systems (OMS).
This new strategic role will see you play an integral part in the project delivery side of the business. You will be someone looking for a role that is autonomous and enabling you to utilise your technical skills, inter-personal skills and product knowledge.
Your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Take the technical leadership and management of projects for SCADA, DMS and OMS
- Support systems through installation and roll-out to live operation
- Liaise with customers at a senior project level - for technical requirements, negotiate change and on time delivery
- Liaise with internal groups - manage the design / delivery of project specific software for customer requirements
- Assist Project Managers with key input for project optimisation
- Provide technical training for both internal and external customers
- Work closely with the software team on delivering software upgrades and enhancements
- Ensure quality procedures, guidelines and initiatives are followed
Skills, Knowledge and abilities:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or IT or relevant industry experience
- Practical knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle ( SDLC)
- Experience in either SCADA, DMS or OMS systems
- Experience with databases and operating systems
- Project delivery experience integrating software products or technical support experience in a live environment
- Track record of meeting software deliverables
- Knowldge of business requirements for electrical utility customers
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time mostly in Australia
- Strong written / verbal communication skills evidenced in your documentation and dealings with external customers
- Ability to work independently and motivate others
