 Duties and Responsibilities will include the following;

  • Problem solving within a small local team involved in high-tech equipment design and manufacture

  • Provide reports / communicate with management on projects status and issues

 Skills, Knowledge and abilities: 

  • Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel within Australia occasionally

IT Support Officer

One of Australia’s leading wholesale fruit & veg companies is looking to hire an IT Support Officer to work onsite in their head office.  This is a key role for the company as you will be the first point of contact for supporting their internal and external users across Australia and New Zealand. The company has a non hierarchical approach to the business where everyone is treated equally.

Being the IT Support Officer you will be liaising on a daily basis with various teams and end users from Senior Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounts, Support, Sales and Operations.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an IT Support role.
  • Have a strong and broad understanding of IT infrastructure including servers, desktops, storage, networks and Operating Systems.
  • Must have previous experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office Excel.
  • Good understanding of T-SQL  and MS SQL.
  • Previous experience with ERP, SCM and EDI systems
  • Solid communication skills – have the ability to be assertive and liaise with a variety of people
  • Have the ability to translate technical terms to non technical people.
  • High level of customer service – in a way you are the face of the company.
  • Previous experience providing hands-on technical support
  • Coordinate the purchase, installation and maintenance of computer
  • Have a passion for staying abreast of technology
  • Have solid experience training and mentoring team members – this is a key part of the role.
  • A Computer Science Degree or a similar tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
